Similar to how other cosplay groups divide their members into regions, we also do the same.
What is a Fireteam?: A Fireteam consists of 3+ members in an area and consists of a "Team Leader" and usually a second in command to help organize and plan events.
Fireteams can be made in any region if you have a group of three or more members in a region that does not currently have an allocated Fireteam. If however you are in a region that already has an allocated Fireteam name then you would need to join that team instead of forming a new one. An exception to this would be if an allocated Fireteam has grown large (10+) and the region can be divided further. Ie: Wellington can be divided into Upper and Lower Hutt.
Fireteams (unless specified otherwise) consist only of ODSTs and ONI Operatives
What does it mean to be a Team Leader?: The Role of Team Leader isn't something to be taken lightly. A Team Leader is expected to be the voice that Admins will communicate with when trying to organize a large scale event such as a Convention or Photo shoot. They are the only line of communication that an admin will reach out to when trying to contact a Fireteam. A Team Leader is expected to take control of their Fireteam, give direction and also resolve any issues that may arise within that Fireteam. The Team Leader will be the first point of contact for any Fireteam members that have concerns or ideas. A Team Leader is also expected to be able to organise welcoming new members to their Fireteam that will be sent their way by an Admin or other member of the 105th. Should there be a new face that wishes to join a Fireteam, members of that Fireteam are encouraged to send them to their Team Leader instead of introducing the rules and regulations themselves.
What does it mean to be in a Fireteam?: To be in a Fireteam it means that you are willing to get involved in events and Conventions in your allocated Fireteams. While at an event, usually a Fireteam will stick together for the majority of the event when the 105th as a whole decides to break off from one another. This doesn't mean that you are forever stuck with the same faces for each and every event. If you chose to wear a different costume that doesn't share the Fireteams Colours then you are free to wander at your leisure. Before an event however, Fireteams will need to be clear as to which members will be with them on which day(s) and also if you are to be representing your colours.
Colour Co-ordination: Fireteams have an allocated colour. This colour needs to presented somewhere on your armour so that it is clear to other members as to which Fireteam you belong to. It is up to you where this colour is shown and to what extent you chose to use the colour but it does need to be clear. Different shades of the colour can be used throughout the Fireteam. So if your colour was red, members can chose to use lighter and darker shades for their armour as long as it is indeed red.
To form a Fireteam: You will need to have an allocated Team Leader, a Fireteam Name, three or more active members and also an agreed allocated colour. To be fair on other members, not all Fireteams will be automatically made if there is a conflict of these factors. We will however work with you to try and make something work that everyone can agree with.
Changing Fireteams / Leaving a Fireteam: If for whatever reason you wish to change your Fireteam due to moving to a different region or, if you would like to leave your allocated Fireteam, then please inform your Team Leader. It isn't an issue by any means but it means that if you are wanting to move to a different Fireteam then you will have to comply with their current allocated colour and any rules that they have put into place. If you wish to leave a Fireteam for whatever reason, again please inform your Team Leader. If you are wishing to leave your current Fireteam to try and join another that IS NOT in your region, then I`m sorry but this cannot be done. The Purpose of a Fireteam to make clear definitive borders between each region. If you are caught in this situation then feel free to speak with an Admin and we shall see if we can come to some middle ground.
Breaking a Fireteam: The Breaking of a Fireteam can happen for one of few reasons. If a Fireteam's number of active members falls below the threshold of 3+ members and continues to remain like that for more than a month, it will be considered 'Inactive'. This doesn't mean that the Fireteam has completely been broken but it is in a probation period until the Team is brought back up to full strength once again. If another two months follow and the team has not been brought back up to strength, then the Fireteam will be considered 'Broken' and will be removed from the roster, opening up the region for a different named Fireteam to take it's place in the future.
A Fireteam may also be broken if the general consensus of the Admins show that the Fireteam isn't actively getting involved in any of the 105th events. This will not be an instant procedure but Team Leaders need to be aware that not having their Fireteam represent themselves continuously will result in warnings, followed by a breaking of the Fireteam.
